So there’s been a lot of interest in my friendship circles recently about getting scrap metal prices sent out to all of my American friends out there in the USA. There’s actually so much interest that I’m thinking about setting up a site for me and a select few others to use regularly when we’re taking our scrap metal out for valuation at scrap dealers and scrap yards locally. The one thing that anyone in the scrap metal business realizes very quickly is that it’s hard to get an accurate set of prices for all of the different types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals out there. There are simply too many variables and it really does depend on what city and indeed which country you live in too. It essentially functions via supply and demand wherever you are based and so scrap metal prices in America are likely to be completely different to those in Canada, let alone what they are in South Africa, Australia or elsewhere in the world.
Fortunately, it’s actually not too difficult to find a decent set of prices if you spend a good amount of time looking for them. There are loads of different resources out there and so it’s never a lengthy process from start to finish. One thing that I will say to you all though, it’s definitely worth going out of your way to find the most up to date prices. Doing this can save you loads of money when you turn in your scrap metal, I managed to get myself an extra $200 in one single trip fairly recently and I’m so glad that I did, all because I spent an extra half an hour in front of my computer research scrap metal prices in different cities in the United States.
I’ve recommended this advice to many of my close friends and I certainly do the same to all of you out there too, it’s by far the most effective way to make money with scrap metal these days. If you are new to this industry then get into these habits early and you will save yourself lots of trouble in the long run for sure. Many people are surprised with how easy it is to make money doing this simple task, this is only the case when you are continually up to date with all of the copper, aluminum, brass, steel, iron and other scrap metal prices out there. If you are not then you will likely end up disappointed and will be continually ripped off by dealers all the way across the country. Go to your scrap metal yard prepared and you will be sure to make an absolute fortune for your efforts.
